UTS Rail has completed Stage 1 of ARTC’s Telemetry Obsolescence Project.
The TOP project, to date, has successfully installed and commissioned 118 Kingfisher Remote Telemetry Units. Each of these interlockings required upgrades to the Phoenix control system and commissioning of new 4G/5G modems and a Satellite diverse system.
All works were completed prior to Telstra switching off its outdated copper land lines, resulting in a smooth transition to the new system. In addition, the upgrading of Pheonix and the remote telemetry systems has improved reliability and availability for ARTC’s control centres.
